SEAL-GUARD® 24/7 Stone Impregnator

SEAL-GUARD® 24/7 Stone Impregnator protects stone surfaces against oil- and water-based stains, moss, efflorescence and alkaline substances. It preserves the stone’s natural appearance, is invisible after application and leaves no hardened residue. Treated surfaces remain breathable and will not fade, discolour, peel, etch or yellow as a result of the product.

Applications

Suitable for stone surfaces such as marble, granite, slate, sandstone, limestone, architectural concrete, brick, render and exposed-aggregate concrete. It also helps prevent chewing gum from adhering to stone surfaces.

Directions

First test an inconspicuous area. Do not apply at surface temperatures of 8 °C or below. Ensure the surface is clean and free from dust, old sealers and wax. Remove existing stains before sealing. Apply with a brush, roller or pressure sprayer.

One thorough coat is usually sufficient. Two coats are recommended for highly porous surfaces or areas with heavy foot traffic. Allow the first coat to dry for five hours before applying the next. On marble and granite, the normal drying time is approximately 20 minutes; buff the surface before it dries completely. Wait at least eight hours before walking on the surface and allow 24 hours for curing to achieve optimum protection.

Maintenance

Clean treated outdoor surfaces with a garden hose fitted with a spray nozzle or a pressure washer at no more than 70 bar. Clean indoor surfaces using a mop, soft cloth or sponge with water or a mild detergent. Do not use scouring powder, ammonia, acids, bleach, solvents or scouring pads.

Coverage

One litre covers approximately 8–40 m², depending on surface porosity and application method.

Service life and storage

With proper maintenance, protection remains effective for years. Check areas with heavy foot traffic annually and reapply if necessary. Store tightly closed in the original container in a cool, dry place. Once opened, the product keeps for approximately six months when stored correctly. Protect from freezing.
