SEAL-GUARD® Gold Label
SEAL-GUARD® Gold Label is quick-drying and easy to apply. It provides durable, invisible protection for all types of tile and natural stone. Treated surfaces remain breathable.
Applications
Suitable for tiled and masonry surfaces, including damp, wet or dry grout, natural stone, sandstone, terracotta, render, concrete, brick, Saltillo tiles, porcelain tiles, marble and granite.
Directions
Use undiluted and first test an inconspicuous area. The surface must be clean and dry, with no wax, protective coatings, finishes or mortar and cement haze. Cover adjacent painted or stained surfaces. Apply a thin, even coat using a pump sprayer, airless sprayer, brush, cloth, mop or fleece roller. Do not use a foam roller. Do not use spraying equipment with rubber components that may come into contact with the sealer.
One coat is usually sufficient. A second coat is recommended for porous surfaces such as terracotta and sandstone, and for areas with heavy foot traffic. Wait at least 20 minutes before applying the second coat. The treated surface dries and cures in approximately 2½ hours. For best results, keep it clean and dry for at least 24 hours.
A second coat is recommended for highly polished surfaces such as porcelain tiles, marble and granite. Buff small areas before the second coat dries. Allow larger areas to dry and cure for 24 hours. Any residue can be removed with a damp cloth.
Pre-treatment before grouting
Gold Label can be used as a pre-treatment before grouting. It helps prevent mortar staining and makes excess mortar and cement haze easier to remove.
Maintenance and wear
Clean treated surfaces with water and a mild detergent. Harsh products such as scouring powder, ammonia, acids or bleach are not needed. With proper care, protection lasts for years. Check areas with heavy foot traffic annually and reapply if necessary.
Coverage
One litre covers approximately 40 m², depending on the material and application method.
