Privacy notice

Last updated: 28 October 2026.

We use your personal data to operate our online shop, deliver your order and answer your questions. Below we explain which data we use and the choices available to you.

1. Who are we?

Sealguardstore is an online shop operated by Retrotegels. Retrotegels is responsible for processing your personal data.
Deldenerstraat 208, 7555 AJ Hengelo, The Netherlands
Dutch Chamber of Commerce number: 77539338
Email: [email protected]

2. Which data do we use and why?

Orders: your name, contact details, billing and delivery addresses, ordered products and payment status. We use these to perform the purchase contract and maintain our records.

Questions, complaints and returns: the information you provide, including your order number and message. We use it to help you, fulfil agreements and meet legal obligations.

Customer accounts: your account and order details, if you choose to create an account. You do not need an account to notify a return.

Technology and security: for example, your IP address, browser information and server logs. Our legitimate interests are operating a functioning, secure online shop and preventing misuse. We take your privacy into account when weighing these interests.

Visitor statistics: information about your website visit through Google Analytics, only with your consent.

Without the data needed for your order, we cannot process or deliver it. We do not sell your data.

3. Who do we share data with?

Our shop uses WordPress and WooCommerce. We use our hosting and email service provider for hosting and email. We share data only as necessary with these providers, PostNL for delivery, our administration and parties providing technical support. We may also disclose data where required by law.

For online payments, we use WooPayments, a service provided by Automattic in cooperation with Stripe. These parties process the data needed for payment, such as contact, transaction and payment details and technical data for fraud prevention. We receive the payment status; we do not store full payment card details in our shop. Further information is available from Automattic and Stripe.

We agree safeguards for data protection and use with parties processing data on our behalf. Some providers, such as payment services, also have their own legal obligations. Where data is processed outside the European Economic Area, we use the required safeguards, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. You may ask us which safeguards apply.

4. Cookies and Google Analytics

We use necessary cookies for the shopping cart, checkout and any login functions. These do not require consent. We remember your cookie choice for six months in your browser’s local storage. You can change it using ‘Cookie settings’ at the bottom of the website. You can also withdraw consent immediately using ‘Withdraw consent’.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used and how we can improve it. Analytics cookies are set and visit data is sent to Google only after you consent. We measure page views, scrolling, outbound clicks and downloads. This may involve the time and duration of the visit, referring website, device and browser information, approximate location and cookie IDs. Outbound clicks and downloads may also include the link address, link text and file name. We do not automatically track search terms or completed forms.

We use this data for statistics, not personalised advertising. We do not send names, email addresses, postal addresses or completed form messages to Analytics. According to Google, Analytics does not log or store IP addresses of EU visitors. The IP address is used to derive an approximate location and is then discarded.

You can refuse analytics cookies and later withdraw consent using the website’s cookie settings. You can continue to use the shop. For more information, see Google’s privacy policy and its explanation of data use on partner sites.

Google Customer Reviews

We offer Google Customer Reviews on the order confirmation page. To display the opt-in module, Google receives your order number, email address, delivery country and estimated delivery date, alongside technical data processed when the Google module loads. In that module, you decide whether to receive a review email from Google. Only if you agree will Google send an invitation after the estimated delivery date to review your shopping experience. Participation is voluntary and declining does not affect your order. See Google’s privacy policy for further information.

5. How long do we retain data?

We generally retain data required for our tax records for seven years. We keep other order, account and contact data for as long as needed to handle your order, account, question, complaint or return and assess any claims. We then delete or anonymise it, unless a legal obligation or ongoing dispute requires longer retention.

We retain user and event data in Google Analytics for a maximum of 14 months, without extending this period after a new visit. Aggregated statistical reports are not covered by this setting and may remain available for longer.

6. Your rights and contact

You may ask us to access, correct, delete or transfer your data. You may also request restricted processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or withdraw previous consent. These rights apply to the extent provided by law. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Send your request to [email protected]. We may ask for information to verify your identity. Do not send a copy of your identity document unless requested. We generally respond within one month; for complex requests, we will let you know if we need more time. You can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

7. Security and changes

We take appropriate steps to protect data, such as restricting access to those who need it. We do not make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. We update this notice when our services change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
